UNEMPLOYMENT TAX EXEMPTION OF UP TO $10,200
The latest stimulus bill signed into law on Thursday, March 11, 2021 allows tax exemption for up to $10,200 in unemployment benefits paid in 2020, which means you don't have to pay tax on unemployment compensation of up to $10,200. This could result in more tax benefits for you.
(This only applies to taxpayers whose Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) for 2020 is less than $150,000).
